EXPLANATION OF THE LOGO

Zoroastrian rituals often evolved in isolation, regionally in Zarathushti enclaves in India and Iran. Today however we have to think about the ritual evolution in universal terms as represented by the globe of the world.

Thus the Atash in the Globe - The Atash has 6 spikes, representing the six continents that are different from one another - suggesting the variations that need to be tolerated and permitted for different regions.

You see the "Chipyo" and the "Chamach" are the representation of the Alat that is utilized in the consecration of the sacred fire.

The two shaded portions represent the human hands cupping the fire, indicating the reverence paid to the consecrated by Zarathushtis and the performing clerics.

We gratefully acknowledge the efforts of Miss. Kamalrukh Katrak in designing and providing an explanation for the logo. We also gratefully acknowledge the expertise of Mr. Mehrdad, a professional Web Page Designer and Administrator of this Web Page.
